Listening to Dylan’s song about Evers, ONLY A PAWN IN THEIR GAME, sung on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial at the march on Washington.

Listening to two more Dylan protest songs – THE TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGIN’ and BLOWIN’ IN THE WIND – each followed by small-group discussion and whole-group feedback.

Descriptive Writing - Campo Grande Exercise

Today, TP4 went to Campo Grande to carry out a descriptive writing exercise.


Their goal: to sit in an isolated location within the park, connect with an inner mood or feeling and try to convey the mood/feeling through sensorial description of their surroundings (i.e. sight, sound, taste, smell, touch).

This work (or a second or third draft of this piece) can be one of the optional homework assignments.
