We discussed the notions of ‘Alienating’ and ‘Naturalising’ in translation with the help of the student presentation on Friedrich Schleiermacher's “On the Different Methods of Translating" delivered by Bruna Gama and Matilde Gonçalves.

The presentation was followed by another student presentation on Walter Benjamin's “The Task of the Translator” given by Ana Beatriz Ferreira and Jéssica Rosa.

Foreignization versus Domestication

Teresa Neto gave her presentation on Accessibility and Translation, which was followed by a Google quiz.



Out guest speaker Cláudia Martins, adjunct professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, spoke about inclusive education as well as translation and accessibility.
