Oxford Union-style Debates - statements and group work

Today TP10 prepared for their upcoming debate by brainstorming debate statements.  After much voting, three motions were finally settled on.

  1. Technology is advancing too fast - 22nd March
  2. Euthanasia is a human right - 28th March
  3. Media is a force for good in society - 29th March.
Those who missed the last class really need to come to class on Monday so that they can join a group and organize themselves.  The next three classes will consist of in-class debate preparation so it is really important that students come to the next three classes.

Vocabulary review: vague language (avoiding unnecessary detail; being imprecise using -ish; being imprecise about quantity and time; whatever, whenever, etc.)
