First Oral Presentation: Madeleine McCann

13 Outubro 2020, 17:00 Hilda Alexandra Prazeres Eusebio

Today, as a plenary, students were asked to present their views on a couple of questions from the What is news? article from the day before:

  • Questions

    • Why does Northcliffe state that “most news is advertising”?
    • What factors determine an event’s newsworthiness?
Following this very interesting class discussion, the teacher then modeled the first oral presentation (on the media sensation of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann).  Students will be sent the updated table with the topics and instructions.  Students who have not yet selected their topic must select it as soon as possible and let the teacher know.
