Persuasive Writing Presentations and Awesome Mistakes Day

24 Outubro 2016, 16:00 Hilda Alexandra Prazeres Eusebio

Students presented their audio or audio-visual persuasive writing pieces.

Students received their Descriptive Writing assignments along with in-class feedback and analysis of some of the more awesome mistakes made in these assignments.

The Major Writing Project was presented to the class.  Here it is, outlined:

  • Writing project:
  • 20% of your final mark:
  • Due: 4th December.
  • Your writing project can be one of the following:
    • A descriptive writing piece:
      • Poetry;
      • Journals/Diaries;
      • Short story;
    • A persuasive writing piece:
      • Political speech;
      • Essay;
      • Editorial;
    • A narrative writing piece:
      • Short story;
      • Biography;
      • Autobiography;
    • An expository writing piece:
      • News report;
      • Scientific report;
      • A personal letter.
  • Obviously, many of the different options have characteristics from each genre (e.g. an autobiography is a narrative but also an expository piece and can contain many elements of descriptive writing, etc.)
  • DO NOT PLAGIARIZE - you will get a mark of 0 if you do.

If you need support with your assignment, please let me know and we can book a tutorial.
