Descriptive Writing - Part 2

Students analyzed the descriptive techniques/tools from excerpts of the following texts:

  • Barbara Willard's The Sprig of Bloom;
  • Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol;

  • Tom Wolfe's The Bonfire of the Vanities;

  • Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood.

Homework: Descriptive Writing Piece due on 15th October no later than 23:59.  All pieces must be EMAILED.


The piece must be written in the descriptive style.  You can:

  • Finish the piece you started during our outdoor assignment;

  • Write a journal entry;

  • Write a descriptive piece of fiction;

  • Write a poem.

     

    Pieces must be no shorter than 350 words in length and no longer than 400 words in length. 

     

    All pieces must be double-spaced, Arial, font 12.
