Students were asked to translate an informative text. They first had to characterize some of the text's features (based on Noda’s Translation-Orientated Source Text Analysis or T.O.S.T.A model). They then had to state which general strategy was used to maintain equivalence, keeping in mind that the text is informative, involving and entertaining. They were asked to pay particular attention to some of the cultural references, but also take into consideration the style, register and rhetorical effect. The text's title is: "Critic's Notebook: Trump's Reality TV Show Presidency Gets Canceled"

Students translated a publishing agreement paying particular attention to lexis and register.
