Caros Estudantes,

Espero-vos bem.

Depois de a maioria de vós me ter enviado a ficha com o resumo do texto de Raymond Williams que irei ler e corrigir durante as férias da Páscoa, venho hoje fazer-vos duas sugestões.

Para os que tenham mais facilidade com o inglês, sugiro que vejam uma aula dada pelo Professor M. H. Abrams (1912-2915) sobre “The Fourth Dimension of a Poem.”

A aula foi gravada em 2012, quando o Professor Abrams completou 100 anos! É considerado um dos maiores académicos americanos e foi autor de vários livros que se tornaram obras de referência.  

Talvez fiquem satisfeitos por saber que, após as férias da Páscoa, irei usar a Zoom App para dar as aulas até ao final do semestre. De momento estou ainda a familiarizar-me e a aprender a manejar essa ferramenta… As aulas terão lugar no horário habitual: 3ª e 5ª feira, às 10h.

After finishing and sending me your reading assignment on Raymond William’s text, “Literature,” I suggest you watch a lecture by Professor M. H. Abrams (1912-2915) on “The Fourth Dimension of a Poem.”

The lecture was recorded in 2012, when Professor Abrams was 100 years old. He is considered one of the greatest American scholars and is the author of several important books
I hope you’ll profit from it.
You may also like to know that after Easter I will be using the Zoom App to teach for the remaining of the semester. I hope this will be feasible and accessible for all of you. Right now I am in the process of learning how to manage it… Classes will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8.00 am, as usual.
