Definition of the word ‘Translation’ in Korean by Leonor Gaivoto
Sts were asked to give their definition of ‘translation’ in a formal manner.
They had to work in groups. Their definitions on Google Slides were later read out lout and discussed in class.

Maria João Cruz gave a short presentation on the Turkish words related to ‘translation.’
Inês Bossen and Inês Alves delivered a presentation on Roman Jakobson’s seminal article “On Linguistic Aspects of Translation”
The presentation was followed by a kahoot quiz created by the presenters:
Several interesting questions arose with respect to the text and were discussed in class.

The course content was outlined in terms of objectives, teaching concepts, reading lists and bibliography.
Sts were asked about their future plans, research interests and expectations regarding the course.

Sts presented themselves, spoke about their majors/minors and their plans after graduation as well as their expectations with regard to the course.
