Reading and discussion of the short story "Happy Endings" by Margaret Atwood. Focused on the main themes along with some comparisons to the previous short story read in class.
Grammar review: subject/verb agreement (singular vs plural, including irregular plural forms). Students also did a few practical exercises.

Reviewed the presentation guidelines and topics.
We then read the short story "Girl" by Jamaica Kincaid and focused our discussion on some of the gender roles/stereotypes present in the story and in our society.
