The elements of the essay

I went over the structure of the essay in class, which included coming up with an interpretive claim/thesis statment, providing evidence and structure the esaay. I also focused on different databases they could use for their research along with a general review of MLA for the works cited list and in-text citations. We looked at Hacker's book but I also suggested an online source: MLA Formatting and Style Guide - Purdue OWL® - Purdue University

Students were asked to upload their thesis statement by next Thursday.
