Student's were asked to translate an informative, involving and entertaining text. They had to read the source text and characterize some of its features (based on Noda’s Translation-Orientated Source Text Analysis or T.O.S.T.A model (1991, 1997)). After considering several questions they were put into groups and started translating different sections of the text titled "Critic's Notebook: Trump's Reality TV Show Presidency Gets Canceled"

Difficulties in Legal Translation: HERE-, THERE-, AND WHERE- WORDS

Students had to translate sentences/phrases into Portuguese keeping in mind that these words are often deemed unnecessary and are therefore simply ignored or omitted in translation. We also looked at the cases where they could/should be translated.
