1) Warm-up: Memory game. Grammar. Group work activity (2 groups): Who can memorize more irregular verbs (3 forms: present, past, past participle)? Sts had 2 minutes to consult the irregular verb list Pasta 3 Zsófia Gombár, p. 18, and then had to jot down as many verbs as they could. The lists were switched, and the adversary teams corrected each other’s lists.
2) Speaking and Grammar, Pair work activity: Must say “Yes, I have”
In this game St’s being asked the Yes/No question such as “Have you ever been higher than 5000 metres” must answer “Yes”, even if that is not true. The other students ask them three follow up questions (e.g. “How did it feel?” and “How did you get there?”) and then try to guess whether the original answer was true or not.
