songs the students know about any of the contemporary issues.
Exploration of contemporary protest songs with a special
focus on singer-songwriter Bradley Skistimas (Five Times August).
HOMEWORK: Read two short stories about racism (one of the
issues in Dylan’s protest songs): “Liars Don’t Qualify” by Junius Edwards and “Where
is the Voice Coming From?” by Eudora Welty.
