Today, TP9 read the first half of Joyce Carol Oates's short story 'Small Avalanches'.  This reading is essential so that we can continue to look at how to prepare for and write a literary essay. 

Homework: finish reading the short story which has been uploaded onto the shared Google drive (it's in the collection Small Avalanches and Other Stories).

Components of creative nonfiction:
Reading - a writer should be aware of what is going on in their field
Research -  considerable primary and secondary research is essential
Real life - the goal is to write immersively, to make the reader feel like they are there
'Riting - the text should feel immersive and be written with scenes and dialogs
Reflection -

GRAMMAR
