Jhumpa Lahiri's 'This Blessed House'

Today, TP9 identified some of the themes present in Jhumpa Lahiri' short title story 'This Blessed House'.  They were then given 20 minutes to come with thesis statements/essay questions regarding the story.

Note: anyone who missed today's class can consult the PowerPoint available on the shared Google drive entitled 'Interpreter of Maladies Themes'.  Here you can see the themes that we have come up for each story so far.

Next class: we'll be looking at Ms. Lahiri's 'The Treatment of Bibi Haldar' - all students must have read this short story by next class!
