We also had a visiting scholar from Venice attend class.

Oxford Union-style Debate 1: Euthanasia is a Human Right

Today, TP11 carried out their second debate with the motion: Euthanasia is a Human Right.


On the 'For' team we had: Sofia Magina, Marta Aguiar, Bianca Gonçalves.
On the 'Against' team we had: Inês Mendes, Débora Dias, Maria João Gomes.

Next class: we will have no class.

Today, TP10 carried out their first debate with the motion: The sex industry contributes to the objectification of women’s bodies..


On the 'For' team we had: Diogo Loureiro, Renata Saraiva, and Inês Eusébio.
On the 'Against' team we had: Jade Oliveira, Cíntia Santos, and Beatriz Tampinho.

Winners: The 'Against' Team!  Well done to everyone!

Next class: we will have our second Oxford Union-style debate with the motion: Tuition fees should be banned – students are entitled to free university education.
