Today, TP10 selected their groups/topics/dates for their upcoming End-of-Semester Oxford Union-style Debates.

Students should note that the above calendar is the timetables for both TP10 and 11 as students from both classes are working together.

Special uses of tenses

We did a general verb tense review that included all verb forms but then concentrated on the special use of present and past tenses. This included describing events in a novel, the historic present, using the present for jokes, the present subjunctive, the use of "it's about time", would rather, as if and as though, and using the past with a present meaning. We also covered the reported speech. Students did several practical exercises.

Feedback on midterm tests

Today, TP11 received their feedback on their oral and written midterm tests.  


Please note that some students did not receive feedback on their oral tests (i.e. debates) as I will need to listen to their recordings closely.  I will have feedback for these students as soon as possible.
