Editorial - Reading and Analysis: Texts 3 and 9

Today, read/analyzed (and identified the persuasive writing techniques from) Text 3 from the course book, The Secret Police Officer's As a police officer, I was asked to undermine an alleged rape victim – I wish I could say it was a one-off.  


We then went on to read Owen Jones's The shocking rise in anti-LGBTQ hate crime shows bigotry is still ruining lives.

Homework: As text 9 is a very long text, we were unable to finish reading it in class.  Students should finish the text at home identifying all of the persuasive writing techniques.  Students who missed today's class should read texts 3 and 9 as soon as possible.

Next class: we will be looking at text 6.
