Today, TP11 had its second end-of-semester Oxford Union-style debate with the motion: “Believe women” isn’t just a terrible slogan for the #MeToo movement – it is a trap. (Helen Lewis).

This was such an interesting debate. A warm thank you to Ana Sofia Martins, Margarida Serra, Catarina Lage, Ana Vanessa Saianda, and Mariana Abreu for their hard work.

Today, TP10 had its second end-of-semester Oxford Union-style debate with the motion: Technology is advancing too fast.

This was another good debate - thank you to Nelson Diaz, João Pereira, Bernardo Ribeiro, Henrique Andrade, Margarida Nazário, Diogo Loureiro and to all of those who participated and came to watch and vote.

Next class: we will be having our third and final debate with the motion: Media is a force for good in society.

Today, TP11 had its first end-of-semester Oxford Union-style debate with the motion: Representation in Hollywood is more about fetichizing minorities than about representing them.

This was an absolutely fascinating debate with Rute Nagurá and Lia Andrade on the 'For' team, and Bianca Gonçalves, Marta Aguiar and Jade Oliveira on the 'Against' team. The 'For' Team won but everyone did a brilliant job.
