Students were given several sentences from different newspaper articles (business material and world politics) and were then asked to translate them using specific strategies – giving them extra practice with what we had covered in the previous class.

We reviewed Chesterman's translation strategies (syntactic, semantic and pragmatic). We looked at their classification/definition and looked at examples.
