Defining diaspora

Students define diaspora and comment on the essay they wrote on "Imaginary Homelands". Students discuss advantages and disadvantages of traveling and cultural confrontation basing their arguments on all the reading since the beginning of the semester.

Class was given via Zoom platform. The presentations as scheduled are being sent via We Transfer.

Finished reading and discussing Brigitt Flohr's "Representations of the Self and the Other in Eighteenth Century Travel Writing".


Students' oral presentation abstracts will be discussed in our next class. 
Students will also have to prepare a 5-minute presentation on elements of their novel that they most enjoyed/learned from.
