Today, TP2 selected their debating motions (and came up with some of their own), got into teams and chose their dates for their debates.  The motions, teams, debates are as follows:


  • Motion: Abortion is a human right; Team A: Maria Venâncio, Gabriel Coelho, Marta Dias.; Team B: Ana Bruno, Natanael Santos, Ruben Tavares; Date: 9th November.
  • Motion: Portuguese colonization was wrongTeam A: António Marujo, Carolina Jesus, Rafael Martins; Team B: Ana Ruivo, Mariana Agostinho, Mariana Monteiro; Date:  2nd November.
  • Motion: Rape victims should be allowed to kill their rapistsTeam A: Luna Colaço, Beatriz Gonçalves, Lara Aleluia; Team B: Andreia Costa, Carolina Matos, Tomás de Queirós; Date:  6th November.
  • Motion: Technology is causing the harmful atomization of society; Team A: Vitória Valente, Anna Baggini, Mariana Graça; Team B: Matilde Marques, Mariana Gomes, Maria Henriques; Date:  30th October.
