SS3 - Boys Go to Jupiter

We finished off the grammar homework that had to do with adjective order.
We then discussed the short story (SS3) "Boys Go to Jupiter" where the theme of race was a key factor in our discussion. We also talked about how social media exhorts a mob-like mentality and cancel culture. Students focused on the main character's inability to react as well as reason for such, including past traumas. We finished class by looking at other images or symbols that could be denounced as racist. As an optional writing assingment, students were asked to write an opinion essay on whether we will every reach a post-racial society.
Students were remined to read Blance Cleans Up for next class.
