How to Write an Editorial - Part 1

9 Outubro 2023, 08:00 Hilda Alexandra Prazeres Eusebio

Today, students were reminded that they should watch the two videos (uploaded onto the shared Google drive) where Maria Henriques and Matilde and I analyzed (and identified the persuasive techniques in) Owen Jones's editorial The shocking rise in anti-LGBTQ hate crime shows bigotry is still ruining lives.  Students are expected to watch the videos and finish the analysis themselves (one hour was not enough to read/analyze the whole thing - it's really long!)

We then went on to look at the steps on 'How to Write an Editorial'.  The PowerPoint for this lesson will be uploaded on to the shared Google today.

Students who have missed this very important lesson should go through this PowerPoint at home.

Next class: we will continue to read/analyze the final product: Leave Game of Thrones Alone.
